For consistency and simplicity, Inspectlet defines a session in roughly the same way Google Analytics does.

A session is a container for the actions a user takes on your site (including page views, mouse movement, keyboard activity, etc). Sessions are comprised of multiple pageviews, a session ends when after 30 minutes of inactivity and cannot be longer than 24 hours.
